Library of Material Properties

Material properties

The library contains material properties values of Young modulus, Poisson ratio and mass density for common materials. ShapeDesigner Pro allows the user to set distinct material properties for every shape making up a section.

If your material type is not listed, select the User-Defined material type. When this option is selected, you may enter user-defined values for material properties. For user-defined material types, enter the following material properties: Young's Modulus, Poisson Ratio, Mass Density and Yield Stresses. Young's Modulus, Poisson Ratio and Yield Stresses are used only in section analysis.
